Tain Museum
Opened in 1966 this award winning museum holds photographs, objects and archives detailing the history of Tain and surrounding areas and allowing you a real insight into what life in Tain was like at various stages in it`s history
 

 

St Duthus Collegiate Church:
Built between 1370 and 1458 & restored in the 1870`s with beautiful stained glass windows and a must see painted panel showing the emblems of the different groups of craftsmen.


The Chapel:
This 12th century seriously damaged by fire in 1427 remains as another reminder of Tain`s fascinating history

 
St Duthac`s Chapel:
Believed to be built on the site of Duthac`s birth around 1253. You can still see the ruins on a knoll near the shore. 

 
Aldie Watermill
A working water mill Aldie Mill was still in commercial use up to the 1970`s . A tour of the mill gives a fascinating explanation of the milling process

The mill also hosts Tain Pottery where a wide range of pottery is produced using traditional techniques
